  Hello all,

  I agree with Gilles in most of the points. I nevertheless do not think
we should include in the listing non-free codes. It is a matter of
principle, of course. Maybe in thsi last case we could just point to some
other list that includes this codes. Regarding the question of Gilles if
one could automatize the discovery of broken links, the answer is yes.
This is, in fact, not too complicated, and there are already small
programs that perform that work.

  What is the expected size for the list of the programs, afterall? If the
number is larger than say 30-40, I could setup a database system that
would take care of the searching/maintenance/etc. Entries would be
inserted by filling up a web formular (with a password, of course ;) What
do you think?
