Sure, go ahead. I am sure that many of us would appreciate an information 
database on XML that is structured around our needs.

Definitely.

If anyone else has useful information to share, please put it on the Wiki as 
well. The only important consideration for keeping the Wiki usable is that 
everyone look around and find an appropriate place to put it. A good Wiki 
should be structured by content and not by authors. While short "personal 
pages" are welcome for self-presentation (there is a Wiki section for them), 
the main content should be the collective work of everyone.
