  Hi,

 gsl.m4 has at the end:

AU_ALIAS([AM_PATH_GSL], [AX_PATH_GSL])

  So, in principle it does define an alias. In any case, let us just
keep gsl.m4, and forget about this mess ;))

  Florian, the deletion of the PPs seems to be version dependent. In the
machine in Portugal it works (i.e., it does not delete the files), while
at home it deletes the files. The funny thing is that I have the same
version of the autotools in both:

Autoconf 2.59
automake 1.9.6

  really weird... maybe Xavier can find out some more as he also has the
problem.
