Can you show us the output of
rpm -q octopus
rpm -ql octopus
rpm -V octopus
(the first one check for octopus' version - if installed at all, if it
says it isn't installed the other two are not needed. The second shows
the files that the package should have installed and the third check
whether all files exist and match their checksum)
