The workshop will last 4 days. Starting the 1 October at 9 AM and finishing the 4 October at noon.

Focus sessions:

  • Spectroscopy of nanomaterials (nanotubes, nanowires, nanocrystals, bio-molecules)
  • Multi-ferroic materials (in particular photo-ferroelectrics)
  • Spectroscopy of photovoltaic materials
  • Performance of novel xc-functionals for electronic excitations
  • Electron-phonon coupling
  • Spectroscopy of defects

Besides the traditional oral presentations, we will favor informal discussion through round tables at the end of each session. These will facilitate exchanges and collaboration among researchers and cross-fertilization between different areas or methodological approaches. As in past editions we will encourage the active participation of young researchers through a poster session and by selecting outstanding contributions from students and post-docs for oral presentations.
